Michael O’Brien joins Ben Eriksen to discuss his second novel in the remnant trilogy—Adeodatus. This new work examines a new group of characters who experience an apocalyptic event and must learn to trust God amid the most harrowing circumstances. Michael and Ben discuss the necessity of each person to be spiritually prepared and filled with the supernatural virtue of hope so that they can endure such catastrophic events. Michael points out that while we may never experience these exact events, we are still in a battlefield, and we must strengthen ourselves with God’s grace through prayer so that we are prepared for the trials that certainly will come our way.
